Martha Payán-Hernández has built a rewarding career in post-secondary education and possesses experience in workforce development, adult education and Career and Technical Education (CTE) in both noncredit and credit areas.
In her role as the CTE Director, she manages recruitment, marketing, and outreach strategies in promoting CTE programs. In this capacity, she develops activities and strategies that bridge collaborations between K-12, ROP, noncredit adult education, business, industry, and workforce development stakeholders. She oversees projects that strengthen CTE enrollment and workforce training that are responsive to the changing business needs in addressing technical skills-gaps to hiring.
As a strong advocate for CTE, Martha strives to promote awareness of career exploration opportunities for all students. She is a proud product of a community college CTE program, and a first-generation college graduate. She earned her Master’s in Education, with an emphasis in CTE from California State University, San Bernardino, a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Literature from California State University, Long Beach, and graduated from East Los Angeles College with an Associate of Arts degree.
Nicole Cintron is the CTE Outreach Specialist and has been part of the CTE Team since 2019. Nicole is involved in recruitment and promotion of all the CTE programs. In addition, she assists in coordinating outreach activities along with other CTE duties. Nicole has experience running her own event management business and she has been highlighted on blogs and featured online. She is currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and passionate about helping others pursue their education.
Flor Farfan is the CTE Media Marketing Specialist and promotes activities through web and social media marketing. She is a former Fullerton College student, and received her CTE certificate in Graphic Design in 2019. Flor is thankful to the CTE department for the start of her career in which she now has over four years experience in design and media marketing. In 2018, Flor launched her own design and media marketing business. Flor likes to hike, paint, and DIY her home. She enjoys exploring new coffee shops and petting every dog she encounters along the way.
