Build Your Future in Horticulture

The Horticulture Department at Fullerton College is one of the leading community college programs in California. We offer a varied program that provides “hands-on” classes for homeowners, nursery and landscape employees, and students wishing to enter the “green industry.” With a unique blend of the old and the new, our facilities combine advanced technology with traditional landscaping and growing practices. Our department hosts events for such groups as Fullerton Beautiful, Orange County Master Gardeners, and the California Landscape Contractors Association. Our program hosts several plant sales each year to help provide gardeners with unusual garden plants, herbs, and vegetables. The program of instruction is as unique and varied as the students who enroll in our courses.

After taking all the courses

“After taking all the courses, you can actually become a certified interior designer. Fullerton College is one of the only programs in Southern California to be accredited by the State and they teach you the basics that you need to know in the industry. The lighting class has really taught me alot, such as how to select the proper lighting for a room, and also how to bring down energy costs.”
